About Me

Hello, I’m Simon aka sleepdeficit (aka ₴Ⱡ33₱ aka sl33p.eth).

I’m a developer and writer for ARK and MarketSquare. I started working for ARK in 2017 shortly after being elected to the ARK Community Committee and have since attended and helped organize various conferences and hackathons. I currently contribute to ARK’s documentation, write about the latest NFT projects, and love covering technical crypto-related topics.

When I’m not busy battling centralization, I enjoy creating music and exploring the latest in art & technological trends.

Below are just some of the MSQ articles that I’ve been fortunate to author:

It's pretty much impossible to talk about ARK and security without bringing up Delegate Alessio.

As a long-time member of the ARK team, I'm not at all ashamed to say that the network wouldn't be nearly as robust without their contributions.

Keep up the excellent work, Alessio 💪

By far one of my absolute favorite projects. The art, the artist, the lore, the community. There's a lot to love here!

It's a truly rare and great project that really makes you feel like part of the family 🖤

Gotta say, I'm blown away by Fang Gang.

Awesome art, daily giveaways, and an ambitious roadmap that Junshi & Paca consistently deliver on 💪

Just an all around high quality project!

Mad props, Fang Gang team ✊

Yeah. It's nearly impossible to interact with web3 tech and NOT have had the opportunity to use MetaMask.

I'm personally very happy to see new features and improvements being rolled out consistently. Kudos to their devs 🦾

Overall, I'd say that MetaMask is probably the best web wallet out there for getting the job done, whether on mobile or desktop.

OpenSea has a clean interface, collections are reasonably easy to find and filter through, and is my go-to choice for NFT shopping.

As another reviewer said, it would be nice to see more advanced analytics or the ability to identify rarity. Their use of the wyvern protocol has a lot of good benefits but also seems to drastically hinder portability and off-platform usability vs. something like an ERC-1155 asset (though that is still an option).

OpenSea has its fair share of drawbacks but overall stands towards the front of the pack when it comes to NFT platforms.
